About Me

I'm a 20-something year old that found writing early in life. I love building new worlds and exploring those constructed by fellow writers.

From a backpacking trip in
Virginia, April 2009
Originally from New York City, I've always had an appreciation for nature and the outdoors -- mainly because there wasn't much around me growing up! I attended college in upstate New York (where I learned what winter really meant!), and fell in love with the gorges and glacial valleys. In my early 20's, my partner encouraged me to try hiking and backpacking in the parks in upstate New York. After my first trip in the Catskills, I was hooked! I wish I had more time to spend out in the woods.

In the middle of 2010, I moved to the southeast US, saying good-bye to autumn colors, the deep snows of bitter upstate New York winters, and hello to year-round mosquitoes, pesky armadillos, gopher tortoises that dig up ancient artifacts, and oh yeah, the alligators!

Can you have a favorite condor?
I do!

An opportunity to work near the Grand Canyon brought me to Arizona in the summer of 2011. I fell in love with the red sandstone, the freezing cold Colorado River, the beautiful (in their own way) California condor, the "dry heat," and spectacular monsoon rains of late summer. I say goodbye to all that shortly, but new adventures begin soon. Stay tuned!
