Thanks so much, Renee, for hosting me in your blog to celebrate my debut release!
Fiery Icicle starts off in New York, but that’s only for one scene…and after that, the majority of the story takes place in Boynton Beach, Florida and in Switzerland! And both these places were fun to research, simply because I’ve been there ;) Yep! :grins: My Swiss trip was a memorable one… I loved the train ride and the view of the majestic mountains, visited the Ice Palace in Matterhorn. And the fog scene (read excerpt below) did happen. One moment me and my DH were taking snaps and wham… in a few seconds, the entire place was covered in fog. I couldn’t even see my legs or anything beyond a few feet. I didn’t get scared, thankfully, because I was the one closest to the building that housed the cable car… And well, though this was back in 2007, I am glad I got to incorporate them in the story written years later! And with this short and sweet post, I thank the lovely author and my great friend, Renee, once again for giving me a chance to celebrate my debut release at her blog!
And before I bid adieu, tell me... if you could travel anywhere, what place would you choose to visit? Let me know in the comments.
I have one copy of Fiery Icicle to giveaway during the blog tour and every comment during this week will count towards it. I’ll pick a winner around the 15th of April and contact them! Don’t forget to leave your email id.
I thought I’d share a short version of the blurb and excerpt here, while a longer one can be enjoyed at : http://www.jasminejade.com/p-10002-fiery-icicle.aspx
This story contains a half-fae intent on claiming his woman, a half-demon bent on resisting her and a passion that's hot enough to melt the alpine snow
Excerpt:
The snow-covered mountain peaks and the rolling fog took her breath away as she willed herself to enjoy the view, forget the cold, but the constant worrying took its toll. She clenched her fingers into fists, hating the dullness caused by the weather.
He steered her into the caves and left her staring at the ice sculpture of a huge wine bottle while he vanished into one of the side trails. Making a conscious effort to relax, she wandered around, taking in the beautiful pieces of art and marveling at the craftsmanship until he hovered at her side once more. Too soon for her peace of mind.
“Let’s go.”
“I’ve hardly seen anything.”
“We didn’t come here for sightseeing, Maddie.”
She clenched her teeth and stumbled behind him, totally immersed by fog in all directions. Where had that crept from? “Don’t call me that.”
